Sometimes (I am very guilty of this)we want to prove our intelligence or be rewarded for our hard work with a better grade than those slackers. I do remember that the private pilots written tests were provided. But, they were long and it was like just studying everything anyway. You will have to get your satisfaction from having learned what you did.
